We're not just experts but pioneers in the field, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with cutting-edge assisted reproductive technologies like Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and Cryopreservation (In Vivo & In Vitro). State-of-the-Art Services Provided:

IVF (In Vitro Fertilization)

  1.  Follicular Aspirations/Ova Pickup (OPU): This procedure is performed by a certified veterinarian at our facility or yours and consists of retrieving equine oocytes "eggs" that are unfertilized.
  2. In Vitro Maturation (IVM): During aspiration, oocytes are in an immature state, not yet prepared for fertilization. Therefore, they must undergo the maturation process within an incubator.
  3. IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): Microscopic injection of a sperm cell into an oocyte.
  4. In Vitro Culture (IVC): Nurturing your embryo in a specialized medium provides the necessary time and conditions to evolve into a blastocyst.
  5. Embryo Outcome Consultation: Our team will be able to discuss your preferences regarding the disposition of the developed embryos.
    1. Embryo Transfer (ET): You may want to transfer your embryo into a synchronized recipient mare.
    2. Cryopreservation (Via Vitrification): This technique involves your embryo's cryopreservation ("freezing"), preserving it for future use at a more reasonable and convenient time.
    3. Storage: The preserved embryo can be securely housed (stored)  at our facility or conveniently transported to a location of your preference.

In Vivo Embryo Cryopreservation

  1.  Embryo Shipments Received: The client will ship their flushed embryos to our facility for cryopreservation (via Vitrification).
  2. Embryo Outcome Consultation: Once cryopreserved, our team will be able to discuss your preferences regarding the disposition of your embryo.
    1. Store "frozen" embryos: The preserved embryo can be securely housed (stored) at our facility or conveniently transported to a location of your preference.
    2. Warmed "thawed" embryos can be shipped: Upon request, a client can have their embryo warmed and shipped for transfer to a synchronized recipient.

Stallion Semen Evaluation:

  1. % Motility: The percentage of semen that moves or swims actively.
  2. % Progressive Motility: It specifically measures the proportion of sperm swimming in a straight line or in large circles, demonstrating an active and effective progression.
  3. Semen Concentration: This measurement refers to the number of sperm cells present in a given volume of semen.
  4. Overall Semen Morphology: The assessment of the size, shape, and structure of sperm cells.

You Have Questions, and We Have Answers

Welcome to our Equine ICSI Q&A platform, where curiosity meets transparency! We understand that the Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) process in equines can be complex and raise numerous questions. Here, we invite you to ask any questions you may have about Equine ICSI. Our team of experienced professionals is committed to providing you with honest and insightful answers. Whether you're a breeder looking to enhance your understanding of the process or a horse enthusiast curious about the science behind it, we're here to demystify the intricacies of Equine ICSI. We aim to foster a supportive community where your questions are valued, and knowledge is shared openly.

In essence, In Vivo refers to internal fertilization, a process taking place within the oviducts of a mare through methods such as live cover, the application of shipped cooled semen, or the utilization of frozen semen.

In vitro fertilization entails the meticulous aspiration of equine oocytes (eggs) from a mare's ovaries, followed by their fertilization in a controlled laboratory environment. This process involves the precise introduction of a single sperm cell through Intracytoplasmic Injection (ICSI).

In this intricate procedure, an oocyte undergoes stabilization using a precision holding pipette. Subsequently, a singular sperm cell is meticulously chosen and delicately drawn into a microscopic pipette, poised for precise injection into the cytoplasm of the oocyte.
