Gayle Williamson
Embryologist
Gayle Williamson began her embryology career at Texas A&M University, working in the Reproductive Sciences Lab (RSL), while earning a BS in Genetics and Animal Science (double major) and her MS in Genetics. At RSL, she gained extensive bovine IVF experience, focusing on characterizing and knocking down gene expression (via microinjection) in early bovine embryos. She, also, had the opportunity to work as a member of a surgery team performing AI in deer, as well as transgenic embryo production in sheep, goats and pigs.
In 2012, Gayle headed to MD Anderson's Institute for Applied Cancer Science, generating chimeric mouse models for human cancer drug studies. In 2014, she moved to San Antonio and transitioned into human IVF, building a great depth and breadth of experience in egg retrieval and embryo transfer, advanced techniques and lab management, as well as qualifying as a senior embryologist, performing ICSI, trophectoderm biopsy and vitrification/warming of eggs and embryos. In December 2023, Gayle happily joined the team at Equine IVF.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband, their son and daughter (and 2 dogs), riding horses, reading & baking.
